The witnesses
Steven Shulz (Chad's Former Neighbor) Is questioned on direct about his relationship with Chad Daybell. He also testifies about working with Chad who worked as a sexton at the time.He further describes the Daybells as solid rocks in their community. He speaks about the events surrounding the morning of Tammy's death and details the funeral arrangements planned by Chad and described Chad's demeanor. He further testified about concerns he had about the suddenness and speed of the funeral and what he felt raised red flags for him.
On cross, Mr. Prior sought to show Tammy' s death was not unexpected by pointing to prior statements the witness made to Ofc. Mattingly.
After re-direct and a short re-cross, the witness is excused.
Ron Arnold (Realtor) Recalls meeting Chad and Tammy Daybell . He describes Tammy's memorial and meeting Chad's new wife, Lori Vallow a month later.
On cross, he testified about Alex Cox being present at a property showing. In a moment of frustration with the prosecutor the witness when asked about the property, blurted out, "You should know, you own it!" Prompting a side bar. The judge instructed the jury to disregard the comment and not discuss it among themselves.
After a short re-direct and re-cross the witness is excused.
Whitney Arnold (Tammy's Friend ) She recalls meeting the Daybells. She attended church with the Daybells. Upon Tammy's death expressed she expected more emotion from Chad. suggested an autopsy. learned Chad had remarried.

Craig Denise Huff (Chad's Friend) Testifies he attended Tammy's memorial. relates Chad telling him that his wife choked to death. Attended LDS church with the defendant.
On cross, relates Chad was wonderful, driven with his writing. relates Chad showed genuine grief for his wife.
On re-direct he admitted to having questions about Chad 's sincerity after learning Chad remarried only a month later.
The witness is excused.
Rich Garner (Tammy's Colleague) relates his working relationship with Tammy. He stated he didn't recall her ever needing any sick days when he was the principal at the school where Tammy worked. He recalls Chad's demeanor
On cross, the defense points out that the witness wasn't aware of Tammy's every day life and that Tammy might have come to work when sick.
The witness is excused.
