I am certain that I read "The Burning Room" before, but so far, I don't remember anything about it, not even the synopsis. That's a good thing because I miss all my favorite mystery writers and Michael Connelly is near, or at the top of that list.
In the LAPD's Open-Unsolved Unit, not many murder victims die almost a decade after the crime. So when a man succumbs to complications from being shot by a stray bullet nine years earlier, Bosch catches a case in which the body is still fresh, but all other evidence is virtually nonexistent.
Now Bosch and rookie Detective Lucia Soto are tasked with solving what turns out to be a highly charged, politically sensitive case. Beginning with the bullet that's been lodged for years in the victim's spine, they must pull new leads from years-old information, which soon reveal that this shooting may have been anything but random.

Sandy, I'm pretty sure I've read that book & liked it. Connelly is also one of my favorite authors & Bosch one of my favorite fictional characters.
Funny thing though: when I was reading The Brass Verdict & two detectives were going thru the lawyer's office files without permission the lead detective wasn't named at first. And he was pushy, demanding & arrogant. And I'd thought--I don't think I like this character.
But it turned out when he was named it was Bosch. Then I liked him. Which is peculiar.

If I recall, Harry didn't hit it off with Mickey Haller, his half brother, at first. Like many police detectives, he was hostile toward defense attorneys. So he may have behaved obnoxiously when he first worked with him on a case.
