In recent years, libraries have caught up with technology, offering eBook lovers even more choices. Now, Google wants a page of that action. The company has added a new feature to Search that’ll show you if the next book you’re wanting to read is at your local library. Article Here

Pete, I honestly don't know why anyone needs google to inform what ebooks are available at our local libraries. All we need to do is go directly to our library site, and that information is readily available, plus the book itself can be either put on hold or instantly downloaded.
I believe that Nancy Q. is our resident expert on other sites that offer free non-library e-books. My library also has a substantial stash of e-audiobooks and CD audiobooks, but what I can't find there is costly to purchase.

Sandy, dunno why anyone would need Google for that either. My reason for posting it was just 'cause I found it an interesting new Google feature.

Not hard to find. I started five years ago and have over 1400 e books now. Most are big name authors such as Sanford, Koontz, Child etc. Never paid a dime for any of them.

Well, Guest, you've the honor of being the first guest to post here. You're welcome to join us or remain a guest. Either way is cool.
All 3 of the authors you've named are favorites of mine.

Hey guest, why don't you grab an avatar, sign up and join us? A few of us here read and review mystery books by the authors you have named - and more. Are you able to store 4000 e-books on a single device? I'm personally into audiobooks and finding 4000 freebies would be a real challenge.

Sandy, the number mentioned was 1400, not 4,000.

Hi guest, like you I also find all of my favorite author's latest books for free online.
Do you get your books from mobilism.org or have you found another place for latest books ?
Sandy I think my nook holds around 1000 books but I have a microSD card that's big enough to hold around 5000 books. It's one of the reason why I choose a nook was because it had a microSD slot so I could load all of my books to that and if my nook died I could easily just insert the microSD into a new nook. Having had one nook die on me after 5 years of almost daily use, I was really glad I had all of my books stored on the sd card so that I didn't loose all of my books.
