I will be watching with great interest. I expect that West Houston, where I live, will be included in the coverage. This is where the Army Corps of Engineers released water from the dams and reservoirs after Harvey in order to save the city, as a whole.
Homes and neighborhoods have been decimated. I can drive for miles along beautiful tree lined boulevards and see piles of debris stacked in front of once beautiful homes and under trees in the medians separating incoming and outgoing traffic. The piles include carpets, torn out walls, furniture, washers, driers, and more. I could be driving along the streets of a bombed out Baghdad.
It may be weeks, even months, before there are trucks to pick up all this debris and perhaps, even more important, some place to dump it. It is estimated that a million cars and 150,000 homes have been destroyed. And, this doesn't touch upon the damage to office buildings, court houses, schools, hospitals, hotels and infrastructure.
