I just took a look under "Help" and found this listing for how to register in here and I see that my experience with registering wasn't the same as what this states and I see now what David meant by notification email, something I didn't get nor needed to register. David look under Account Activation, it might help you with your problem--check your spam folder. www.proboards.com/user-guide/accounts/registering

Thanks Nancy, I have done everything under the sun. Checked junk email and all. Nothing. The way I got here now is to register again then I got to the dashboard to get in here. I appreciate all the help but I will have to figure this out on my own. It has something to do with having multiple accounts with Proboard. It should be so easy but when I turn computer off I lose everything and can't sign in. It's crazy.

David which browser are you using and do you have it set to delete all cookies/history/cache when you close your browser ? if so depending on which browser you're using you might be able to set it up so it doesn't delete login info. I have it set that way with firefox, so I keep all my login info in all of my accounts after closing my browser. I have multiple accounts in the sense I have an account here and in Phil's group. I use the same password for both, just set up a different username for each and when I come into this group viva this link- xtreme-5.freeforums.netI'm always logged in just like when I visit Phil's group I'm logged in.

I use chrome. I will delete all cookies tonight. I really hate doing that but that is only thing left to do.
I use a different email address when I signed up at Phil's so I am not connected so I don't have a problem going here and there.
The only 2 groups on this probaord are Pete and the emphysema forum I am in. I use FireFox to access that forum.
I will delete cookies and see what happens.

ughhh Chrome hardly has any options but what you can try is click onto Settings in chrome, then click onto Advance at the bottom of your settings page. Under advance scroll down till you find Manage Passwords and click onto that. Hopefully you can find the xtreme-proboard password, delete it, close your browser and then come back in here and sign in with your email/password info or is it only your user/password that's needed.
Anyway it could be that you have multiple password saved for this proboard, so getting rid of them and starting over with signing in might help ?

I cleared the cookies in chrome and that did not solve my problem. Right now I am here in my FireFox browser. Looks like I will be using this browser to come to this forum. I just hope it don't mess up my going to the emphysema forum. Hopefully FireFox will be more compatible and compassionate

Hmm, David marked my previous post with a Like. But I see no indication of that here. Instead, I only knew it was marked Like in my personal notifications. I'd thought that Like would be publicly viewable.

It is seen by the public. I can see it. If you like something but don't want to respond you can click 'like' and the other person knows you read the post.

Well OK, now I see the Like, but I doubt I would've ever noticed that on my own, without Henry's instruction. To peruse this group I've got my screen set at 150% enlargement, otherwise all the text is way too small for reading, even with my glasses on. And that Like is still in fine print. I'd thought that a like would generate a thumbs-up icon, not just text.
