It would have made front-page news around the country: a quiet Philadelphia neighborhood exploding suddenly into flames days before Christmas; but because of a clever dog with a heck of a nose, it’s only making news here on GNN.
A disastrous gas leak was detected underground by Kobe, a 4-year-old husky owned by Chanell Bell, who trusted her intuition and listened to Kobe’s warnings.
Not just gas, but a potentially cataclysmic amount of gas.

This story reminds me of something my friends & I used to do as young teens. There was an abandoned coal mine in the area & we used to go exploring in it. It was horseshoe-shaped, with an opening at each end & about 1/8 of a mile long. Of course it was dark in there so we made torches. Rags wrapped on sticks soaked in kerosene. So there we were walking thru the mine with open flames. Not being aware of methane gas pockets that can be found in coal mines. Makes me shudder now thinking about that. We could've caused an explosion & been trapped in there.
