...it would've been a few minutes ago.
Am sitting here listening to music on the TV. Had the volume at a low 6 so as to not wake Carrie. Suddenly the sound was blasting thru the house like at an in-person rock concert. I about jumped off the couch & my heart was beating like I'd just ran a mile.
Quickly grabbed the TV remote & turned the TV off. After a minute of calming myself, as I wondered WTH just happened, I turned it back on & the volume was at 52. Normally I have it set at 12 to watch TV. How the volume suddenly jumped higher I dunno. But I could do without that happening again.

My ROKU remote does this when the batteries get weak. The volume will go up by itself.

Paul, I would've never thought of that. Normally when my remote needs batteries it just quits working altogether. I've changed its batteries. Your tip possibly saved me from a future trip to the Emergency Room. As my way of saying thanks I've posted an article on Roku Tips & Tricks you may find useful here.
