Whether you have Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance or no insurance, this new bill could transform your medical costs.
Just before 2023 came to a close, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a bill that would make pricing practices in the health care system more transparent.
The Lower Costs, More Transparency Act (HR 5378), which has bipartisan support, aims to make health care more affordable in part by unveiling hidden pricing options.

You mean Obama, I mean the Affordable Care Act didn't do that?

Henry, "Affordable" Care Act? I think not.
Way back when I had no health insurance & that insurance came out I looked into it. Getting up in years here & thought it wise to get insurance, that I'd never had before, due to possible health problems on the horizon.
Anyway, I went to the ACA website to look over plans. Forget the exact cost per month but it was over $200. And that was the lowest tier of coverage. So I passed on that. And I heard on the news recently that ACA costs have increased.
