To make a profit, they sometimes cross the line and get a little sneaky — especially when it comes to the fine print.
Don’t get sucked into thinking that you have to accept whatever rates or terms your credit card company dishes out. You have more power than you know.

I still tend to pay cash for most purchases in person but my wife orders stuff on-line at times. For those purchases I almost always pay by check at the end of the month and don't carry a balance.

Dave, my buying practices are just the same.
90% of my purchases are made with cash. But once in awhile I use one of my 3 credit cards for small purchases to keep those active. And whatever the amount due I pay in full.
