Most things, even if we've never used 'em before, we can figure out how to use intuitively. Meaning they're designed so that the controls make sense & can readily be figured out.
Not so with the windshield wiper lever on my Jeep. To wash the front window the lever is pulled back. To wash the back window it gets pushed forward.
Makes no sense to me as to why it's was designed in that way.

Anyone say it say its supposed to be that way? Or was it installed incorrectly?.

Henry, dunno if it's supposed to work that way or not or if a mistake was made. Luckily the gear shift doesn't work the same way: with D I move forward & with R I go backwards.

Ted, couldn't tell if you were poking fun or being helpful. That video for the Wrangler works a bit differently than with my Renegade. One thing I'll try I wasn't aware of, to see if it works for me, is to push down on the lever for a single swipe. In the past to get that I'd turn the knob to Intermittent for a second & then Off, which actually results in 3 swipes. When I'd first had my Jeep it was bugging me as to why at times the rear wiper would make one swipe when I didn't have it turned on. Why does it keep doing that?, I wondered. Finally realized that when the front wipers were on & I shifted into Reverse that happened automatically so I could see where I was going. BTW, you're able to post a video here. As you can see that I've done in your post. Click-on the icon shown below. Paste its URL in the slot shown then on Insert Video.

Well, tried pushing down on the wiper lever, like the video showed, for one swipe & it wouldn't move. So I tried the opposite way, up, & it worked. So, that works backwards too.

Ted, there ya go. Did you notice the screen on the dashboard in that video? All kinds of settings on that for the radio, climate & so on. It's also a screen for the back-up camera. Which I really like. An image below shows its view. Those yellow lines line up perfectly with the lines in a parking space. The dotted white line is synced with the steering wheel so that the line curves if you're turning & it guides you to the center of the parking spot when straight.

Its possible I suppose that the harness at that connection has the same wires both sides. But most every thing is one way Idiot proof now.
So the only way would be for the harness to be made up wrong. I don't see where that would be a one off type of thing. The second video speaks of rear wash push away, so is it rear on pull?

Henry, neither of those videos match exactly how mine works.
For my '18 Renegade's wiper lever forward washes the rear window & pulled back washes the front one.

You understand what I meant on how a harness can only plug one way? Like a notch one side or diagonal instead of a corner.

I think a message to A contact page might be in order.

Henry, yeah, I understood that a harness connection can only fit together one way.
Like many electronic or electrical plugs. Like an electric cord in the house going into a wall socket or the dongle for my cordless mouse fitting into my laptop.
