Have you cut the cord from the cable company and are in search of free streaming TV options in 2024?
Amazon has stepped up with a useful app: Fire TV Channels.
Fire TV Channels is a new, free app available to streamers who use a television or streaming device that is powered by the Fire TV operating system.

Henry, I'm thinking that you overlooked this:

I have a ROKU TV. It is impossible to get more streaming channels. Not even chrome cast can compete with Roku.
If you don't own a TV with Roku built-in, I would suggest getting their plug in.
Cost about 25 dollars with voice remote for the basic or around 60 or 70 dollars for the ultra plus voice remote.
I don't know the difference because, like I said, my TV has it built in. (I can't possibly ever use everything I have on my TV.)

Paul, having too much to watch sounds unusual to me. With cable TV we get about 100 channels (besides the 40 music channels) but too often it's tough to find anything to watch that suits my interests or that isn't a repeat.

Pete It is hard to explain but I have so much that I can watch that I have actually given up, thrown my hands in the air and said ... "F-IT!"🤣 This is a partial picture of roku's menu screen. See the different boxes? Each of those are clickable and take you to their home page. I can't show you my entire screen of clickable links but imagine a thousand rows below those you can see like ... Turner Classic Movies, Old Time TV, Syfy Channel, Fox, Weather Channels, on and on and on! To the left you see the menu? Search for any TV movie or series from today or 100 years ago and if it's available anywhere, it will be found! If it is on a site like tubi, peacock, TNT, ABC, FILMRISE, anywhere, it will popup in search. If it is on a site that you don't already have, you can add another box, (link) to the page! (Thus the thousands of possible links)😮 Not Everything on the site links have free stuff. Today's movies in theaters for instance but all of them have free programs. Some of them also have the "Free to try" before signing up but I usually skip them unless they have something I really want to see, then I do the free 7 day trial thing?😏 Wow, I've gone on for too long but I really wanted to explain why I would say why anyone would throw up their hands and scream .. "THE HELL WITH IT, THERE'S TOO MUCH!"😇🤣

BTW:None of this takes up space on your TV.
It's all stored on Roku. I Highly recommend the ROKU channel app!👍
Tons of movies and free channels.
I just finished counting my app links.
175.
"I'M SCREAMING 'ENOUGH' AGAIN!
But I just found another one I like!😁
It's an All Westerns channel.🤠

Paul, well I do at times run into several shows or movies I want to watch. All airing at the same time & it's a tough choice to make. Which do I want to watch & which do I want to miss? But on your scale no wonder you've given up.

That's when I utilize search, first by show menu, then if need be by actor.

My provided cable did Not include Turner Classic Movies! I'm going to miss the Movies channel.
But there are like you say more hours of programming than can be watched.

Hank get the TMC app, (Turner).
I believe you can watch the movies there?
BTW: Lots of these sites are supported by commercials just like regular programming.

Speaking of commercials: I recall when cable TV first came out after rabbit-ears (yeah, I'm that old) its selling point was 'No commercials'.
But then those began to show up at the beginning & end of a program. Then every 15 minutes. Then every 10. Nowadays its every 5. You get 5 mins of TV then 5 of commercials.
I once told Carrie, "Someday there'll be no TV programs, it'll be all commercials.
