Happy day here. My wife and I celebrated our 62nd wedding anniversary. It was a cold, rainy day back in 1956 and a very small event. I was 22 and my girl was 19. I was able to get 4 days leave from my ship. which only gave us a couple of days for a honeymoon.
I guess missing all the trappings of a large wedding didn't hurt much as we had 4 kids (all in their 60's now) and a flock of grands and great grands.
Now at 90 and 87, we're nearing the end of the trail.
