Yep, it'll soon be time to go thru that PITA chore...oh, sorry, I mean time for the Daylight Savings Time change.
Saw a news segment last evening with advice on how to adjust ones sleep time so as to adjust to the change. With advice on rescheduling ones sleep time by 15 minutes later each night over days till ones mind adjusts.
And I'd thought: Huh? Why go thru all that? Just do what I do. Instead of changing clocks at 2: 00 a.m. as advised, does anyone actually wake up to do that?, I wait till I'm up & about the next day to change our clocks. So that I lose an hour of being awake rather than one of sleep.

Never give it much thought. Sometime during the day or evening I get around to it. Gaining or losing sleep doesn't enter the process.
Being retired my only concern would be arriving somewhere late for an appointment. That I DO keep track of.

Dave, yep, changing clocks the day before or the next morning is the way to go.
What I don't understand are those who apparently interrupt their sleep to do that, based on their griping the next morning about how tired they are. Makes no sense to me.

YESTERDAY MY STOVE CLOCK WAS ONE TIME AND MY PHONE WAS ANOTHER BUT I DIDN'T CATCH IT UNTIL LAST NIGHT THAT THE TIME CHANGED.

MY STOVE DID NOT CHANGE EITHER. BUT HAS A TIME SET BUTTON.
THE MICROWAVE DOESN'T HAVE A TIME SET BUTTON.

I DIDN'T KNOW A STOVE HAS AN AUTOMATIC TIME CHANGE. IF IT DOES IT MUST BE A COMPUTERIZED STOVE IN ORDER TO CHANGE ON ITS OWN.

STOVE DID NOT CHANGE.
EVEN GAS RANGES HAVE ONE OR MORE COMPUTERS NOW.

Henry, no appliances in my place with computers.
I purposely don't buy those with the thought that the more complicated one is made the more likely it'll break.
For example: when shopping for a washer & dryer I bypassed those with digital readouts & settings. Instead I bought those with simple twist-knobs to change settings. And push-buttons to begin a cycle.

When and a repair is needed it would be more also.
Good to know a sort of basic was still manufactured.
I can envision such costing more.
But then you cannot find a Speed Queen or Maytag Wringer washer in a store either.

Henry, yep, more costly repairs.
Couldn't pass up the deal I'd found on our washer & dryer. I'd been looking around for awhile & the average price for each was $500.
Then one day in a Lowes flyer I saw $500 for both together. Couldn't pass that up. So I went & got those. Lowes delivered them & also installed them. That was 13 years ago. No problems with either of them since then. Admiral brand.

I read that when Whirlpool bought the Admiral company they only kept the name.
They are sold at home depot now.
I am not positive from my reading but if every line has a model equivalent, not as many parts need to be stocked.

Henry, personally I favor Lowes. I only go to Home Depot if I can't find what I want at Lowes.
On another note: I once read somewhere that Lowes was once run by two brothers. But they had a falling out & out of spite the one brother vowed to start his own store & build those near every Lowes as competition.
It's said that anywhere you find a Lowes that you'll find a Home Depot nearby. And in our area it's true, those two stores are directly across from one another on the same road.
