Was getting grocery bags out of the back of my Jeep, grabbed its lift-gate to close it & gave it a strong pull. Not realizing that I was standing a bit too close & a sharp corner of the gate hit my forehead.
Didn't hurt much & I felt the spot for a lump or blood & didn't see either of those. But a few minutes later when I got in the house & looked in the mirror there was a trail of blood running down my forehead. Cleaned it off & applied some antibacterial cream to the small wound.
What's that old saying? Oh yeah, "There's no fool like an old fool."

Oh yours does not have close feature?
Oinkment is good to have on hand. Your blood is thick nuff to stop quickly?
I favor cover an injury for as short a time as possible.

Henry, no, my Jeep doesn't have automatic gate closure.
I was surprised when I cleaned the wound 'cause in just a few minutes it had stopped bleeding at the wound itself.
I usually don't cover a wound myself, just ointment, unless it's taking awhile to heal. Then I'll put ointment on it & a bandage on it overnight while I sleep.

Lucky that you didn't have an open box of "those" donuts on the kitchen counter. The smell of blood might have spelled your demise!

So did it throb and disrupt your sleep?

Henry, no, not a'tall. It was done hurting after a few hours. One thing though: last evening that spot got itchy & I went to scratch it, forgetting what was there, & nearly ripped the scab off before I recalled & quit.
