The radio in our one room has been acting glitchy. No surprise there since it's decades old.
Went to Best Buy & asked where they had those. And was told that they quit selling them 3 years ago 'cause they're outdated. So I went to Walmart & asked if they had them. Nope. Was told those're obsolete.
Quite surprising to me. So, guess I'll do an online search & see what happens...

Dave, turned out that radios are all over the place online. Found one I liked at (guess) Walmart & Best Buy at their websites. The radio below. It's not that those radios are outdated but rather that the stores don't stock 'em. Anyway, at both sites the same radio was $40. But when I buy a product online I prefer to get it directly from the maker 'cause the cost is often lower. So, at Panasonic's site I found it for $30. It'll be one it's way soon.

Pete go with a digital tuner. Description will mention presets.
The store staff I think used the wrong term, Sales have just not held up, didn't pay for the shelf space.

Henry, yeah, the sales staff misspoke. Plenty of radios out there.
Too late to choose a digital tuner. As noted in my previous post with the radio I've already ordered.

Dave, you likely do but just didn't realize it. I bet you've seen that on a car's radio where its display shows numbers on a screen, like the display of numbers on a microwave, that change when you turn the dial. Henry had advised me to get a radio with a digital display. Likely for precise tuning. But I found out that the radio I got accomplishes that in a different way. When turning the tuning dial a red light appears when a station is precisely tuned in. As shown below.

Anna, well, I'm sure that's true. But as noted in this thread I already bought one. As seen above in my March 25th post.

Henry, ordered it on a Monday from the Panasonic company in CA, it got to my door early Friday.
Great lil' radio. Unlike our decades old radio it replaced full of static this one has clear sound.

Locks on a stations number, FM is always . odd so a little bleed over room. So it sounds like a modified version on your new one Pete, with light, seems it shows in your signal.
