Any baseball fans here? Season's about to start and I have been watching some of the Grapefruit League games.
Lifelong Red Sox fan here. Used to attend games in Boston but those days are behind me. Driving 10 miles to my doctor is about my limit . Driving 60 miles into Boston, to Fenway Park is way behind me. Wish I still could but TV viewing is my limit today.

Dave, no, not for me. Carrie is the sports fan here. As long it's the Pittsburgh Pirates or the Steelers.

Have no idea? They're on the radio and TV during the season and as long as I get to enjoy their games I'm happy.
Having said that, it's only been since I've been sort of crippled up with old age that I do watch them. When I was more active, I'd watch an occasional game but not on a regular basis.

As much as I look forward to the baseball season, the The Astros stunned me by dropping the first 4 games to the NY Yankees. They seem to be slowly recovering their mojo, but ......
Dave, the Red Sox are looking good.

Hank, Interesting question... What are the advantages of a team owning broadcast rights?

They can set how many games are On free tv is the one that I pay attention to the most. I think biggest for the team would be no middle no on the advertising revenue.
