I've been an avid book reader since I was 6 years old. The only thing that has changed is that I no longer literally read books, I listen to audiobooks - which I totally love.
This leaves my eyes free to watch, for instance, a sports event on TV. Guess that is my version of multi-tasking. Works for me.....

Sandy, can't recall how young I was when I began to enjoy reading but I'm sure my age was a single digit. And I'm still going at it everyday decades later. About one book per week.

When I was in the Shriners Hospital I did a lot of reading to help pass the time. This was in Springfield Mass. in the early 1960's

Paul, you were in the Shriners Hospital ? My stepfather was a Shriner - a very proud and involved one.
How long were you there, were you treated well, and most importantly, did they help you in any significant way?

I was there 3 times for over a month each time for surgeries I did miss not being home as I'm from New Hampshire, and I was treated well. All of us kids loved our AM Radios.
