Fortunately, I haven't noticed any invasion of my online privacy, plus I don't even own a mobile device - still own and use a landline.

Sandy, I've always guarded my online privacy as best as I can.
Mainly by strictly limiting how much personal, identifying info I submit to online venues. For examples: if you look at my avatar you'll see my location as "Southwest PA" & not the township I live in & the name I use here, "Pete" is my nickname not my given name.
On the tech side of being online I use an ad-blocker & a tracking cookie blocker. After each online session I've got my browser set to delete all history & cookies. And I use DuckDuckGo as my search engine, billed as the world's most private.
I could go on further, that's just to give a general idea.
