Most of us, including me, have long viewed Labor Day as a day to shop for great sales on a variety of products. However, I decided to search for the true meaning of Labor Day, and this is what I found:
" Labor Day marks the day in 1894 when Congress declared the first Monday in September a national holiday to honor the nation's workers and their contributions to the well-being of the country."
So, let's toast the workers of America - and on with the shopping!!
