If you’re the type of person who detests autoplaying video ads with sound, Google’s Chrome provides some help. The beta of Google Chrome 64 allows you to mute a site permanently, so even if a video pops up—and Chrome can block some of those, too!—it won’t blow you out of your seat. The feature is expected to roll out to the general public sometime in January. Article Here

I'd like something like that. Those loud video ads superimposed on what I am reading are one of my biggest pet peeves. Even the online TV guide has an annoying video blocking the TV program menu.
