Today, in order to protect yourself, it’s best to also think about protecting your computer. With Spybot Search and Destroy, your computer is protected from adware files, trojans, dialers, browser hijackers, rootkits and other infectious malware software. Don’t know what a rootkit is? No need to learn what it is now. With Spybot’s help, your Windows computer is protected. Spybot S & DAnd here are alternatives for Linux users. S& D Alternatives

I used to really like spybot but I gave it up a few years ago when the definition downloads started becoming huge and the program slowed down.

Nancy, do you think they may have improved it since then?

Pete they might have but because I use malwarebytes, I don't see a need to use spybot too.
If you try it out let me know whether they still have huge definition downloads.

I too gave it up years ago. I have Malwarebytes Premium, but also have Super Antispyware Pro. At the time, SA was a superior program to Spybot. Spybot also adds HOST file entries that have been issues to some. I honestly can't say if Spybot is any good, it is so rarely mentioned these days. UB : )
