Norm, could you show me a site where you've had that problem, so I can test it out?

Nancy, I'm also on W7 -- Have tried waiting after clicking < > icon. Zilch! I know I'm getting older and must adopt to change but I'm starting to dislike upgrades! Thanks Nancy for your help Maybe it'll clear up later! I hope as there was a news article that had several photos I wanted to see

If anyone uses Adobe Flash Player, I just noticed that with this 57 upgrade AFP was turned off by default. I had to go into Firefox Add-Ons & click-on my choice for that. Which is: Ask To Activate. I only want AFP used when I OK it. The other choices are; Always Activate & Never Activate.
In short, check your AFP settings, AFP has been disabled with this upgrade.

Norm, that slideshow worked for me, pics changed as fast as I could click-on the arrows. But, I'm not using any version of Windows, but Ubuntu instead.
I'm going to look into the W7 problem at a later time, maybe I can find a fix?

Norm the arrows on that page works for me.
I don't think that slide show uses shockwave flash but in case it does then go to Tools > addons > plugins and make sure your flsh is set to always be activated.
57 reset that addon to ask before activating but it wasn't asking me to activate on webcams that I know use flash so I made the change and the webcams are now working.
If it's not that then maybe it's an addon that you're using that's no longer compatible with 57.

Nancy, if you look at my 2nd to last post, above, I talked about ASF.
Then after reading your latest post I went to the site Norm gave us & wasn't prompted to activate ASF. Which indicates that it doesn't use Flash.

Pete I was writing my post while you were posting your post, so I didn't see it until I made my post.
Flash didn't give me the popup asking to activate on the sites that I visit that use flash when my flash setting was changed by 57 to "ask to activate".
It's strange that 57 set you back to "don't activate" when it set mine to "ask to activate".

Nancy, hmm, dunno why our Flash settings wound up different. Unless we had it set differently before the upgrade? Before, mine was on Ask.

That's probably it because I had my set to always activate.

Norm, Nancy may be on to something. Try restarting Firefox with your add-ons disabled & see if the slideshow works then. Instructions are below: Diasble Add-Ons

Just discovered another plus with 57. In the past when I was viewing a list of videos at YouTube neither the Home or PgUp buttons worked for me. I'd press those keys & nothing would happen. Now they both work.

Norm, but I'm guessing you'd rather not do without your add-ons. I'm fairly sure your slideshow trouble is caused by Firefox disabling Javascript in its latest versions. When I'm 100% sure I'll tell you how to enable Javascript. I want to be especially sure since the fix involves accessing the innards (about:config) of Firefox, & I don't want to suggest tinkering in there till I'm positive I know what I'm talking about. Stay tuned...more tomorrow. And of course, you're most welcome.
